Transient Ischemic Attack

Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute is a national leader in stroke reversal. We treat more than 1,600 stroke patients each year from the Kansas City region and well beyond.

Our expert team also treat transient ischemic attack (TIA). Forty percent of people who have a TIA will later have a stroke, and nearly half of those occur within a few days of the TIA. Medication and lifestyle changes can reduce the risk for stroke. Our team works with patients to develop a treatment plan to address personal risk factors.
