Instructions To Transfer Urine Specimen Into Tiger Top and Gray Top Evacuated Tubes Using BD Vacutainer® Urine Transfer Straw:
1. Place the urine cup on a clean, flat surface.
2. Place the tip of the transfer straw into the urine specimen. The urine cup may be tipped at an angle if the volume of urine is limited.
3. Place the evacuated gray top tube into the holder, stopper down. Advance the tube over the puncture point to pierce the stopper.
4. Hold the tube in position until filled.
5. Remove the tube from the holder.
6. Mix the tube 8 - 10 times by inversion.
7. Repeat the above steps for the tiger top tube.
