Collection Procedure:
1. Loose stools are acceptable.
2. Do not contaminate the outside of the container.
3. Do not overfill the container.

Frozen - 4 months (Freeze/thaw cycle: Stable x3)
Refrigerated - 3 days
Room Temperature: 2 days
Unacceptable Condition:
Causes for Rejection: Refrigerated or thawed specimens received more than 72 hours (3 days) after collection will be rejected; serum or plasma received; stool contaminated with urine; samples taken from diapers unless portion taken has not been in contact with diaper material; preserved stool received.
