Patient Preparation:
The patient must be fasting overnight, 12-14 hours.

0.5 mL
Minimum Volume:
0.3 mL
Specimen Processing:
1. Separate the serum from the cells. Transfer the serum into a screw-capped plastic transport tube.
2. Maintain frozen until tested.
3. To avoid delays in turn around time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.

Freeze/Thaw Cycle - Stable x 3
Unacceptable Condition:
Samples that are grossly hemolyzed, grossly lipemic, collected from non-fasting patients, not received frozen or plasma specimens will be rejected.
