KCTV: Two Families Connected By One Heart

Two families are forever connected because of one heart. And three years ago, that connection was made.

The Rogers's daughter, Aryn, suddenly passed away at 32 years old, and Curtis was in stage 4 heart failure, waiting on a new heart. "The day I heard the word transplant is when that entered my mind that someone is going to pass for me to live," said Curtis.

They met at the Saint Luke's Heart Transplant Picnic for the first time and the Rogers family got to listen to Aryn's heart, again. 

“It’s so worth it, I think, even if you don’t get as far as we have in meeting, just the knowing that your loved one made such a difference for somebody else,” said Sharon Rogers, Aryn’s mother.
