KMBC: Health experts say more evidence shows vitamin D important to surviving COVID-19
People get vitamin D naturally from sunlight and certain foods, but health experts say three-fourths of people don't get enough. And when you're vitamin D deficient, you're more susceptible to infections including COVID-19.
KMBC talked to Dr. James O'Keefe, a preventive cardiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute who has studied the effects of vitamin D for years.
