KCTV: Saint Luke's launches Cancer Diagnostic Center to get patients to treatment quicker

Saint Luke’s has launched a new center that is changing the way patients with suspected cancer receive a diagnosis, see an oncologist, and begin treatment. Waiting weeks or even months for a cancer diagnosis can cause significant anxiety and possibly delay life-saving treatment. Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute’s Cancer Diagnostic Center is committed to providing an accurate diagnosis of most types of cancer within a week of referral. Dr. Timothy Pluard, medical director of Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute, talks to KCTV about how we have re-engineered the diagnostic process to better meet the needs of patients.
