KSHB: Saint Luke's doctor shares stroke experience to raise awareness
A stroke can happen at any age. That is what Dr. Joanne Loethen, a 37-year-old internal medicine resident at Saint Luke's Hospital, wants others to know by sharing her story.
Over the past several decades, strokes have increased in young adults by more than 40%, according to the American Heart Association.
KSHB talked to Dr. Loethen about when she found herself in the Emergency Department about the warning signs everyone should know.
