FOX4: Saint Luke’s Health System will require employees to be vaccinated by late October

Saint Luke’s Health System will require all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 30.

The decision comes as Kansas City is experiencing a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, leaving hospitals stressed.

FOX4 talked to Dr. Melinda Estes, President and CEO of Saint Luke's Health System, about what led to the decision and why it's important for all employees to get vaccinated.
