Kansas City Star: ‘COVID parties’ spread the virus on purpose. That’s ‘Russian roulette,’ doctors warn
The Kansas City Star came inside the Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City's Emergency Department and spoke with Dr. Marc Larsen, emergency physician, about the impact the latest surge of COVID has had on the emergency department, and why it isn't a good idea to purposefully expose yourself to COVID-19.
“The majority of people that get omicron that are vaccinated really do have minor symptoms,” said Dr. Larsen. “It’s still playing Russian roulette though. If you get a really severe case, you can’t take it back.”
