KMBC: Act Quickly: A Survivor Shares His Story to Support Stroke Awareness Month
Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a stroke. As part of stroke awareness month, a survivor in Kansas City is telling his story in hopes others can learn from what happened to him.
Marlin Kinman was at Saint Luke's Hospital about to go home when he suffered a stroke earlier this year.
KMBC talked to Dr. Jared Halpin, neuro interventional radiologist at Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute, about how being so close to medical help and quick treatment made all the difference.
