KSHB: Kansas City COVID-19 Survivor Surprises Care Team with Heartfelt Thank You

Almost a year to the day after being diagnosed with COVID and going on a ventilator, one local woman planned a surprise visit to her care team at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City to show them the difference they made in her life.

KSHB talked to Stephanie Peterson and Dr. Carole Freiberger, critical care medicine specialist, about her recovery and what others should take away from her story heading into the fall and winter seasons.
