Cassie Jaynes Named Hedrick Medical Center 2023 Employee of the Year

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — Hedrick Medical Center recently announced the 2023 Employee of the Year. Cassie Jaynes, a physical therapist III at Hedrick Medical, was presented with the award at a ceremony held in her honor on February 21. Other nominees were 2023 Employee of the Quarter winners Paula Ranes, Deanna Wright, and Becky Wilson.

In her nomination form, Jaynes’s co-workers said, “Cassie takes great pride in patient care and is driven to provide the best care to our patients. She persistently seeks continuing education courses that not only advance her skills but benefit our patient population. Cassie is looked upon as a mentor within and outside the rehab department. She displays excellent teamwork. She is loved by her patients. She often follows-up with her patients after discharge to ensure they are doing well.”

Jaynes has worked for Hedrick for over 15 years. She actively participates in the Saint Luke’s Career Advancement Program, maintaining a Level III designation. She is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Training BIG program specific to the Parkinson’s disease patient population. Jaynes is married to husband, Casey, and they have two boys who love playing sports. She enjoys her work family and celebrating with patients as they achieve milestones in their rehabilitation.  

In recognition of the award, Jaynes’ name will be engraved on a permanent plaque within the hospital. She will receive a recognition certificate, a parking space of her choice for a year, and acknowledgment in the local media and hospital employee intranet.
