At Saint Luke’s Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic, you can conveniently meet with all specialists overseeing your care in one comprehensive, three-hour appointment. This means you won’t have the hassle of scheduling appointments with specialists at multiple offices.

Your treatment plan and care will be coordinated by a team of oncologists, surgeons, and survivorship nurses. As an integral part of this team, you will be included in all decisions.

Your team includes:

  • Breast nurse navigator, a specially trained registered nurse who serves as your resource and advocate
  • Breast radiologist, a fellowship-trained, board-certified expert in breast imaging, early detection, needle biopsy techniques, and diagnosis
  • Breast surgeon, a board-certified specialist in breast surgery, breast cancer prevention and early detection, biopsy techniques, and multidisciplinary treatment
  • Radiation oncologists, experts who can recommend radiation treatment options and explain how they’ll be integrated into your care plan
  • Medical oncologist, the cancer specialist who stages your cancer and oversees your care from diagnosis throughout treatment to ensure you have the best possible quality of life
  • Plastic surgeon, a board-certified surgeon who will consult with you if you require surgery to discuss reconstruction options
  • Genetic counselors, experts who use comprehensive risk assessments and genetic testing to help identify inherited cancers based on your personal and family histories as well as communicate with other at-risk family members
  • Pathologist, the area’s only fellowship-trained pathologist in breast cancer pathology who interprets your biopsy samples to diagnose tumor type, characteristics, and grade
  • Nutritionist, a registered dietitian who provides free one-on-one counseling during treatment as well as leads the free Nutrition for Cancer Survivorship Class for patients who’ve completed treatment
