Better KC: Saint Luke's Receives Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification

Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute recently received a Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification by The Joint Commission. We are incredibly proud to be the third hospital in the country to receive this certification. Since Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute was established 36 years ago, our mission has been to be on the leading edge of cardiac care while always maintaining the highest standards of quality.  To be recognized as a comprehensive cardiac center by The Joint Commission is a continuation of that process and helps patients feel confident that regardless of their heart needs, that they can be confident that they are receiving superior care when they come to Saint Luke’s Health System.

Dr. Michael Borkon, co-executive medical director, and Dr. David Safley, cardiology quality medical directory of Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, spoke with Alexis DelCid on KCTV5's Better Kansas City about what this certifications mean for not only our hospital but the patients we see, everyday.
