Local Media: Saint Luke's named in Best Hospitals in Kansas City, Mo.
Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City ranks No. 2 in Missouri and No. 2 in the Kansas City metro area, and is recognized among the Best Hospitals in northwestern Missouri.
“It is a tremendous honor to again be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as providing some of the best care in the nation,” Julie L. Quirin, senior vice president of hospital operations, said in a statement released by St. Luke’s Health System. “It is reflective of the talent and commitment of our St. Luke’s physicians and nurses who bring the highest level of quality care to their patients each and every day.”
Three specialty programs of Saint Luke’s Hospital are nationally ranked in the top 50. Only 3 percent of the nearly 5,000 hospitals that were analyzed for Best Hospitals 2018-19 earned national ranking in even one specialty.
Saint Luke’s nationally ranked programs are:
- Cardiology & Heart Surgery (No. 38)
- Gynecology (No. 44)
- Neurology & Neurosurgery (No. 44)
The hospital also ranks as high-performing in six specialty areas:
