KMBC: Athletes with COVID-19 at lower risk for heart damage than first thought
Doctors are learning more about how COVID-19 affects the heart. New research shows athletes who have contracted the virus are less likely to develop myocarditis than initially thought.
KMBC talked to Dr. Anthony Magalski, cardiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute and medical director of Saint Luke's Athletic Heart Clinic, about the new findings and what athletes with COVID-19 should do before returning to play.
