Continued cardiac care from childhood through adulthood is crucial--yet many young adults put off seeing an adult congenital heart disease cardiologist, which can be dangerous.
As we continue Heart Month, we’re talking to Dr. Anthony Magalski, cardiologist and medical director of Saint Luke’s Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program, and Dr. Brian Birnbaum, pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Mercy Hospital, about the new Kansas City Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program - a collaboration between Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute and The Ward Family Heart Center at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
