KMBC: Saint Luke's Performs 1,000th Heart Transplant

Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute is celebrating a major milestone after performing 1,000 heart transplants.

Saint Luke's is only the 23rd hospital in the country to reach this milestone. 

KMBC talked to Dr. Brett Sperry, a cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and transplantation at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, and Saint Luke's 1,000th heart transplant recipient.
