Saint Luke’s team of electrophysiologists are leaders in cardiac care, offering the full range of treatment options from medication to surgery to leading-edge clinical trials.  

An electrophysiologist is a cardiologist who focuses on testing and treating problems involving irregular heart rhythms, also known as arrhythmias, and other conditions.

Saint Luke's electrophysiology program:

  • Implants more than 1,500 cardiac rhythm devices annually
  • Performs more than 800 electrophysiology studies and catheter ablations each year, including 450 left atrial ablation procedures
  • Leads the region in electrophysiology research providing access to advanced investigational treatments, like the Watchman® device
  • Developed a computerized protocol system to help prevent sudden cardiac arrest
  • Enhanced community awareness of sudden cardiac arrest through the Heart Safe Community Partnership
